Everyone Has His Own Ark. This American Artist Spent 10 Years Digging the Eighth Wonder of the World in a Cave in New Mexico

For a decade American artist Ra Paulette has been walking to the sandstone caves in the desert. Nobody accompanies him but his devoted dog. Ra Paulette carves wonderful sculptures and ornaments inside. It’s a kind of spiritual renewal for him. He uses only simple tools. He hopes that the cave will be an oasis for art performances when it’s finished. In 2014 producer and director Jeffrey Karoff filmed a short movie about Paulette’s work. It’s called ‘Cave Digger’. It was even nominated for an Academy Award.
