1968. Associated Press photograph Eddie Adams took this picture of Vietnamese police chief General Nguyễn Ngọc Loan executing a Vietcong prisoner on the street of Saigon. Adams got the Pulitzer Prize for it. Later he regretted taking the photo, because it ruined the lives of Loan and his family.
